Absent Skateboards

Board Illustrations Series #1

The concept of this series illustrates characters which also interact with the wood grain. The objective is to have an area “absent” of artwork. From left to right, these decks are Lincoln Log, Tiki, and Royal Guard. The Royal Guard’s hat and jacket replicate a furry texture by using the vector illustration pattern.

Combining hardware and plywood decks, skateboards have been around for well over half a century. Absent Skateboard designs celebrate the sport via different series of whimsical designs.
